Three new roles we are recruiting for: CNC Milling and Turner roles looking for applications

Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products. To-date, we have manufactured components for leading global OEM’s and are looking to expand our capabilities over the coming years.

ROLE ONE: Advanced 5 Axis CNC Milling Engineer

We are looking for an Advanced 5 Axis CNC Milling Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will have their Own Machining Cell, working with some of the latest 5 axis technology and tooling stations.

Candidates will require a strong 5 axis milling understanding and the ability to use Fanuc control along with a good knowledge of CAM programming experience.

A very good understanding of quality control procedures is required as we manufacture predominantly for the medical Industry.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Advanced 5 Axis CNC Milling Engineer:

  • CNC 5 axis machining experience.
  • Have experience within an industry manufacturing precision components to fine tolerances – ideally from medical, aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Strong analytic skills, flexibility of thinking and problem solving.
  • Computer literate, able to use shop floor data capture and other elements of a business ERP system
  • A clear understanding of manufacturing/production processes.
  • Able to program CAD CAM Software, using the very latest SOLID Cam package.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD / CAM, jig and tool design.
  • Good knowledge of program editing on Fanuc control.
  • Good knowledge of set up and operation.

Need to have:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 5+ years of CNC Machining experience
  • Have experience with Fanuc.
  • Have 5axis machining experience.

General Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
  • Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc.
  • Use of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements.
  • Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
  • Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
  • Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records.

ROLE TWO: CNC Turner Programmer & Setter (Late Shift)

We are looking for a Turning Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

Candidates will require a strong CNC machining knowledge and the ability to use Fanuc control along with a good knowledge of programming experience.

A very good understanding of quality control procedures is required as we manufacture predominantly for the medical Industry.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as Turning Engineer:

Must Haves

  • Programming, Setting & Operating CNC machines, STAR sliding head lathes and Doosan lathes all with live milling features.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met
  • Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
  • Experience with Fanuc.
  • Experience with multi axis machines
  • Experience with Metal, Alloy & Plastic materials.
